Hello... me again! So I got a birthday email from Immigration Canada, but not the one I was hoping for. Our application has now been sent to the consulate in New York for processing, and we are not allowed to enquire about it until mid December. Does anyone have any experience with the NY office to give me an insight on what kind of timeline I should expect?

Thanks in advance,

j

YAY have just received our passport requests! We had our medicals on the 3rd August 2011 and were beginning to think we were in for another long wait..

It's been an emotional roller coaster for sure & can't quite believe we've made it through.. so plenty of celebrations this week and then to break it to our parents next week.. will not be well recvd news for them.

CI Application sent to Nova Scotia Sept 2010
PNP Nova Scotia nomination certificate issued Nov 2010
PNP CIC application CHC London 31st Jan 2011
Med requests 27th July 2011
Medicals & xrays done 3rd August 2011
Passport requests 5th October 2011..

now just to get there!

How often do they update information on CIC website?
We have had our medical sent out two months ago, but nothing has changed on the eCas. It is still showing "application received". I am just starting to worry.

Hi,

Sometimes they don't update it at all. We had our medicals in May and our status is still "Application Received". I know that it is being processed though because they have since moved our file to NY. Don't rely on that website. It's just a waiting game I'm afraid

We had our medicals in June 2011 and it still says "Application recieved 15th Nov 2010'.
Our application is through Buffalo.

It is frustrating, but that seems to be the way of the immigration process. I hate not knowing what is going on also.

Ours was also going through Buffalo but then our file got transferred to NY. Could you let me know how your application progresses? It is nice not to feel alone!!!

Hi Jules
will do, it is a lonely process But it is good to hear that people are all in the same boat at one time or another.
It looks like you're meds are a month ahead of us according to the dates on your timeline.
I have not had anything so far from Buffalo. I know our meds were sent to Ottawa on 20th July. Surely the decsion on our meds has been sent to Buffalo by now!!!!!!!

Well and all other crossable things that we both hear some positive news from immigration soon.

Yup. I received the email on September 15th, roughly 4 months after my meds were done.
