Default PNP route - do we all have medicals?

Sorry if this is in the wrong place.

If we secure employment via the PNP route do we all still have the medicals as with the SW route etc.....

Its not a problem i just wondered how the PNP route actually works.

Am i also right in thinking that if we do all under SW route we can do the proof of funds bit by providing details of property value and also details of outstanding mortgage etc....

If we are lucky and get the PNP route do we still need proof of funds.

Thank you

Dawn

Which Province is it? There are variations between PNPs. However, they all work in a similar way as far as I know...

- You apply for the PNP
- the province assesses you on whatever they set as their criteria (usually your job offer or business plan if its an entreprenuerial program) and decides whether to nominate you or not
- if they nominate you then you apply through the Federal immigration program (much like you would if you went the skilled worker route) but you tell them on the forms that you have been nominated by a province
- as part of the Federal immigration process you have to have medicals and security checks and the Federal Govt retains the right to refuse you entry on medical or security grounds even though you have provincial nomination

So the answer to your question is yes, you d still have to have medicals. Going through the PNP has the advantages that its much faster (even though its a 2-stage process) and you don't have to meet the Points Score that you do for the SW route (but you will have to meet the province's own criteria instead).

hi all,
i have read this in the guide for provincial nominees at (http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/guides/EP7.pdf
PAGE 16
3. Decision
The officer will make a decision based on:
• the number of points that you accumulate in the six factors, based on the documentation you submit with your application.)

does it mean the 67 points?? or what?
if yes does it mean that the provincial nominees should comply with both the provincial and fedral points system and/or regulations??

Suggest you read the PNP section on www.cic.gc.ca Here is a direct quote

"Provincial nominees are not assessed on the six selection factors of the Federal Skilled Workers Program.
