Default Pls need your help- Mr Andrew Miller

Hi Mr.Andrew Miller,

1)Is it true that 90 days limit from the date of receiving the letter is only for the medical papers to reach ottowa from the doctor's office
and not for ottowa to enter the details into their system, from where the LA Canadian Consulate downloads it....? Doe it take 2 months for ottowa to enter these details into their system?

2)Is background check is done for everybody ? Will they check in all the countries that I have mentioned?

3)How long(max time) does it take for the background check to complete?

4)What if there was a small dispute with a former company?

Thanks.

1) It may take longer if Ottawa has large backlog as well when additional tests are required. There is no time limit for entering medical decision into system.

2) Yes - all admissibility checks (medical, criminal and security) as well as background check (verification of personal data and education/employment credentials) are mandatory for all applicants. And yes - background, criminal and security checks are done in all countries you resided in.

3) It is case specific - it may be several months to 1.5 years or even longer.

4) If CIC cannot verify claim of employment then such claim will not be counted. If it is found that claim was made fraudulently then case will be refused.

Thanks Mr.Andrew Miller for ur responses. But is the 90 days limit from the letter arrival day is only for the medicals to reach the ottowa from doctor's office?

And regarding the dispute with a old company,I have the paystubs and the appointment order and all related docs to prove that I worked in that company. Can that be shown as proof?Wwhat should I do in this case,if the former employer is indifferent, though all the docs thatz necessary...

The 90 days (or 120, or 60, or whatever) deadline written in medicals request letter means that medical report should reach CIC within deadline.

There is no other limit.

All docs you listed may only prove fact of employment, not duties performed - without it you may not be able to claim experience in claimed occupation.

Thanks Mr.Andrew Miller.I received my letter on April 11 and got an appointment with a doctor only after 2 weeks from april 7th.And the Doctor's office said that it would take roughly 1 1/2 weeks for them to send the results. So thjat comes to 3 1/2 weeks ...say 4 weeks(1 months). Now that there are only 2 months left.Wwill this be ok....Will this 2 months be enough for the Ottowa upload my details for the CIC to receive it.

My main concern is if I have to look around and see if I can find a doctor for a earlier appointment.Do u think that the appointment 2 weeks from the date of receiving my letter is a bit late?

So what should I do with the former employer. My collegues know that I worked in that company in the skill sets I mentioned in my canadian application. So what can be done about this?

Again - it is irrelevant when medical decision will be made and shows up in the system. I clearly said that the only deadline you have is for medical report to reach medical office in Ottawa.

If you are absolutely sure that you can't get proper reference letter from employer but have contract, paystubs, etc. then what is still outstanding are your duties to be described - ask immediate superviser and/or few co-workers for letters describing your duties, position, etc.

Note that visa post must be able to verify such letters, so all reliable contact info must be provided in letters.
