Please help!!! Visitor visa for boyfriend

Please help!!! Visitor visa for boyfriend
Hi
I am a canadian citizen who has a boyfriend in Dominican Republic. We want to meet here on Easter (just he will stay a few days and go back), but we are also going to get married hopefully in August. He has never been in Canada and I don't know the best way to do this. Should we apply for a multiple entry visa telling that he is my boyfriend or not? If he applies for a single entry visa and gets it, will he be able to apply for another one in August?

Visitors visas last 6 months. Tell him to come as a visitor then marry in August and they can't do much about it

Sure they can if they refuse the TRV. That is going to be the hard part, getting the TRV.
