Please help!!! Visitor visa for boyfriend
 

Hi

I am a canadian citizen who has a boyfriend in Dominican Republic. We want to meet here on Easter (just he will stay a few days and go back), but we are also going to get married hopefully in August. He has never been in Canada and I don't know the best way to do this. Should we apply for a multiple entry visa telling that he is my boyfriend or not? If he applies for a single entry visa and gets it, will he be able to apply for another one in August?

He has to be completely honest when applying for a visa. If it's thought he may not leave Canada he may well be refused the document. What reason would he provide for coming to Canada?

Visitors visas last 6 months. Tell him to come as a visitor then marry in August and they can't do much about it :)

Sure they can if they refuse the TRV. That is going to be the hard part, getting the TRV.
