Default Please be advised that your application is in process

Hello;

I received this reply about my application status from Buffalo's office. It is good or bad news?????

"Please be advised that your application is in process, however we are
unable to provide an exact date when a final decision will be made.
Once a decision on an application has been made, you will receive a
letter requesting that your passport be forwarded to this office for
visa issuance.

Canadian Consulate General

Immigration Section"

Anyone have similar reply

Applied: 04/2004

I got the exact same message on Friday. I had emailed them about my change of status in the US and casually "enquired" about my case (I applied to Buffalo in Feb 04). Within an hour, I got that message. I am guessing its just a generic thing that they send to anybody who has the audacity to question their case status. After all, why would you need to, what with e-client being so reliable and helpful......

I got a similar letter in the past. However, the leter clearly said they are waiting for bchk results and application will be processed as soon as they receive the results.

And now, as you can see from my signature, they have kept their promise .

My letter was similar, but they did not mention any time frame. The letter said they will process my application as soon as they receive bchk results.

Hi all,

Does Bchh mean Background check or is it both background and security check?

Thanks!

If you are asking about fields in CAIPS file then Bchh means nothing

BDEC is a background decision made after completion of verification or personal info and education as well as experience credentials.

SEC (sometimes SDEC) is security check
