Default Pilot Work Permit Scheme Qeestion

Does anybody know about the Pilot Work Permit SCheme that expires on 18th December 2015, which will mean it was in place a year.

Any word on whether it will be extended?

Can the pilot WP scheme, combined with PR application be applied for from inside Canada whilst on an implied Visa? ie, whilst waiting for the next Vistor Visa to arrive?

It's only available to Inland Spousal Applicants and sorry, I have no idea if it will be extended or not.

Have you already submitted an Inland application? If you haven't, are you sure that's the best way to go? The extensive processing times for Inland applications means you could be sitting for 2 years or more before you get a decision.

Applicants who have already submitted an application for permanent residence under the SCLPC class but have not yet applied for an open work permit should complete a work permit application, include the appropriate fee, indicating that they are applying for an open work permit, and submit it to the Case Processing Centre in Vegreville, at the following address:

CPC – Vegreville
WP - Unit 777
6212-55 Avenue
Vegreville, AB
T9C 1X6

If an SCLPC applicant has already received approval in principle, they have the option of applying for an open work permit online.

I am an inland sposual applicant...who has not submitted the forms

My tourist visa expires on 30th october 2015

I am applying right now for a tourist visa extension

the wait is 135 days for the tourist visa extension approval

my immigration consultant is under the impression that i cannot apply for the spousal visa and work visa from canada under an implied tourist visa

I hope she's wrong

Hello, I replied to your other post - so apologies!

Your consultant is incorrect.
