Re: Perminent Residency
Yes, as long as you are meeting residency and other requirements to maintain your PR
status in Canada.

Re: Perminent Residency
You are free to leave Canada any time. The length of time you remain out of Canada
would be a factor in determining whether you have abandoned Canada as your home and
therefore whether you were really a resident of Canada.
Now you are allowed only 183 days of each 12 month period. The new Act should allow
three out of five years with two years of physical residence a must.

I won't ask why you'd want to do that Chris. Personally, if i were one of the lucky
few to get PR (i'm not - i work in one of the listed occupations at a senior level -
but i have no degree !) i'd be happy to wave goodbye to the sinking ship that was
once our proud country. Our only culture here in Britain these days is football and i
am sad to see that there are few Union Flags this week to celebrate the Queen's
jubilee, but plenty of Beckham T shirts.
That's why i admire Canada - there seems to be a strong sense of national unity and
pride. I envy you your chance at being part of that.
Jimbo.
