Permanent Residence Military Background
Have some friends who were in the RAF and now applying for PR. They have to complete a form that asks for stations served at and Commanding Officers. What do they put if they can't remember the names of their old Commanding Officers who would have now moved on or even retired?

They do their best to try and find out (Linked In etc, or asking people they served with), if they really can't find out then put 'unknown' or similar. If that's the case, make sure they explain with a covering letter that they don't recall names but give details of what they've done to try and find them out.

I copied my list of service that was given to me when I retired and gave Marshal of the Royal Air Force as my Commanding Officer. No further questions were asked.
