passports
when the chc ask for your passports is there any problems if one is nearing renewal date as my daughters passport is up sept 08 hoping to get asked for passport soonish

Depends on when you are going to "land" if you have had your passport request and are going to land in next couple of months then there should be no problems as once you have landed you will be applying for your PR card and the visa in your passport will be used up, if you haven't had the request yet or you won't be landing for a while then i would suggest you bite the bullet and get your daughters renewed as immigration don't like you fly on passports that expire in 6mths or less.
