Passport/visa return from London

Passport/visa return from London
Hi, Can anyone tell me the approx time its taking at the moment to receive passports with visas in back from the London office? They were sent not handed in. Thanks

Mine has been SEVEN weeks and counting!! Just sent them another email today chasing it up - starting to get a bit worried now!

Just had a response from CHC London....
Please be advised that due to the volume of correspondence we are currently receiving, incoming documents (including passports) are taking up to 2 or 2.5 months to process
So my advice is, don't rely on a quick turnaround at present time if you are posting!!

Does not sound good for us as we just sent our passports last Friday. We are not in a hurry but still we never when we may need our passports in case of an emergency. We dont feel OK without a passport for a couple of months.

Im getting worried about this now.
I thought turnaround was about 2-3 weeks.
Im travelling for work at the minute (already 3 weeks in to my 45 days to submit passport before I even get home). Work schedule means that even if I could drop off in person next week, I just wouldnt be able to pick it up 2 weeks later.
So I have to send it in, but we have our summer holiday booked (Canada . US) for 11th August, and there is no way to change that. In addition I travel a lot for work (who dont know im applying for PR in Canada!) - there's no way I can be without a passport for more than a couple of weeks!! 6-7 weeks would be disaster.

Hi just seen on the general Canada forum someone sent there passports off 28 may and got them back 18 june, there's hope yet!!

Hi Guys
The passports arrived this morning....wow. What a relief? Didn't feel good without any passports for 5 weeks in case of emergency.
Date posted was 11 June via Fedex.

i sent mine aug 10th and london recvd it aug 12th.
i have my parents visiting sept 25 and would like it back before then. I want to land etc.....get that all done first.
Any recent timelines for this?
