Default Passport Stamped Landing Next Month

Hello everyone,

After years of wait and going through the pathetic Canadian Immigration process atlast my Immigrant visa was stamped.

I am planning to land in Toronto next month.

I have question...Is it a problem to land in Toronto and then immediately move to Montreal.

I have given my destination Toronto in the application process.

Also, how much fund should I carry for three people( myself, spouse and child)

Any other suggestions and advice are welcome.

Thanks

Hello MD

Congrats for getting your visa!!!
I think you will need to carry atleast CAd$ 16-17K for yourself and two dependents if i am not mistaken.

First thing after landing get a drivers license, open a bank account, apply for SIN and PR card. It's also a good idea to get medical coverage for self and family. Also expect to pay higher deposit to the landlord/ property manager since you have no credit history in Canada( I think).
Don't forget to take lots of warm clothing
All the best for your new life in Canada!
