passport photo specs

passport photo specs
My son will be going overseas to Germany as a student for 1 year. I
expect to hear from Buffalo soon with passport requests. It will be
necessary for me to have him express mail me back his passport so I can
send it in for the VISA. I expect it will be much simpler if I can have
the photos taken before he leaves.
Can anyone tell me what the photo specs will be that come with the
passport request? Are they the same specs as had to be sent in with the
original application?

Yes, but they probably won't ask for additional photos. The photos for the PR card are taken at the time of "landing"
