Default Passport drop off with young kids

Hi

I'm planning on dropping off our passports at the High Commission on Thursday, but I have to take a toddler and a baby with me. I was just wondering how long people have queued for in recent weeks. Do you have to get there really early or will it be ok to turn up at 2?

Also, does anyone have experience of queuing with a buggy? Will I be able to take this into the building?

If anyone else is going on Thursday, I'll be the one with two moany kids in tow.

Thanks.

When we collected ours, we got there at about 1.30pm and queued until 2.00pm. They opened the doors slightly early because it was so cold, which was nice! The only child I noticed was a baby in a rucksack-type sling which didn't cause any problems. I don't know about the buggy - there are a few steps which might make it cumbersome. The security people seem to be quite helpful though, so I would just go along and see what happens!

Thanks for your help Funky Florist. Everything was fine yesterday. The kids behaved themselves (in fact, the baby fell asleep in the queue - very convenient!) and the security guards were really helpful with the buggy, watching the kids while I handed over my passports.

I'm so pleased it went well! If you're going back in two weeks to collect, I hope it goes equally smoothly ...

Um, I did have the A-Z with me, but I think I put it away before I got there. Can't remember! Had a bright green buggy with me with a toddler on top and baby hiding underneath.

Will be back a week on Thurs to pick up, so maybe see you then.
