Default Parents and travel

I hope someone can help. My UK fully vaccinated parents are coming here this summer. They will be in quarantine (if they have to by the time they travel) with my dad's brother first in Alberta before heading to Ontario for the remainder of their time here. They have a fully furnished basement so can keep their distance etc.

Because they are in quarantine with my dad's brother we assume they need other documents to be allowed in.

The questions we have are, going through the government it asks for written authorization. Is that their eTA or another form? They have an eTA.

If they need to submit the Authorization and statutory Declaration form? Where do they do that? We cannot find this information on the Canada.ca website and do not have an IRCC client number when we try and submit via the web form and select "submit a travel exemption enquiry"

Under the bring proof it states you must bring written authorization from IRCC (if you're required to get one).

Are we looking into this too much? Do they just need to fill out the Authorization and statutory Declaration form and bring it with them?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Thank you but it doesn't mention how or if we have to submit the Authorization and declaration form.

That's because they don't need it. If they're vaccinated, they don't need an exemption after 5th July. The written authorisation is for those who have asked for permission to travel since the borders were shut last year - they wouldn't have been allowed in to Canada previously without that, but that won't be relevant to your parents by the time they travel.

Umm not necessarily correct - it will depend on ther status (visitor / Canadian Citizen/PR / Essential travel...

Travel restrictions on who can enter Canada remain in place.

Foreign nationals (including U.S. citizens) coming to Canada for non-essential reasons will be turned away at the border.
Suggest using the wizard.. https://travel.gc.ca/travel-covid/tr...s/wizard-start

They're 'immediate family members' of a PR (or possibly Canadian citizen, if he's just not updated his signature), so exempt from the travel restrictions. .https://travel.gc.ca/travel-covid/tr...ite-citizen-pr

However, theiir first 'port of call' is with thei parent's brother .. parent's sibling.. not the child/grandchild - so possibly not!
