Since no one followed up my last posting, I have decided to look to using a 3rd party to process immigration paperwork, in the hope they could answer my outstanding educational questions.

Has anyone come across, or used a company called OAVisas (www.overseas-emigration.co.uk) ? If so, any recomendations on them?

They claim to be "registered migration agents" - it means nothing when it comes to Canadian immigration. See here to find out who can represent and consult you for a fee in respect to Canadian immigration process:

If person (not the firm) who is offering to consult and represent you is not a member of CSIC or Law Society in Canada then they cannot represent or consult you for a fee.
