Default orange packet from Buffalo today :-)

Hello all,

I got my pssport request today.

Here is my timeline:

AOR stamped January 26, 2004
Initial Assessment stamped September 1, 2004
Medicals done October 8, 2004
Medicals received at Buffalo: November 18, 2004
Additional Documents sent: November 1, 2004

Passport request stamped: Feb 23, 2005

Passport request received: Match 2, 2005.

Passport sent for Stamping: March 2, 2005.

It took almost 13 months from start to finish.

I am from Pakistan and despite that my SEC checks were completed in about 4.5 months.

I submitted my RCMP tho I was not asked to.

For all educational qualifications, I provided Immigration Officer with an ONLINE accesss to my transcripts through the university's website....i sent Immigration my passowrds. Also, I provided degree copies and sealed transcripts.

No one called my employer. I had ONE year experience.

Just wanna thank Andrew, PMM and JIM for all their help. You guys are terrific. MJ23: Throw me some good news. I will be checking the forum till you get yours!

Good luck all....

Congratulations to you. You must be feeling on top of the world right now. Just one question, was the orange envelope they sent you thick or thin? By that I mean, does Buffalo send a lot of material in the envelope or is it just a one page typed letter?

Best wishes for your future in Canada,
Ozinca

Hi Ozinca,

Yes I am feeling great at the moment. I came to Canada when I had just turned 19. Now I am 27. Worked hard for 8 years and got my education here. I guess it finally paid off.

As for the envelope, it was a large THIN envelope. Just had a 3 page letter requesting a valid passport.

I wish you all the best. In this process its so hard to be too optimistic yet you cant be too pessimistic. I am sure u all will hear a good news soon.

Take care guys...

Thanks Sachdur, I don't have the guts to open a thin envelope from Buffalo if the passport letter was supposed to be in a thick envelope. So, now I will look forward to a THIN orange envelope. Congratulations once again.

Hi Sachdhr:

Congratulations !!!

Some how I am left behind. As of today, there is no update on my application. Did not receive any reply so far from Buffalo on the fax that I sent a few days ago.

Wish you all the best.

Pattu
