Opinions - FSW1 versus NSNP CI stream
Ok, now been spurred into action by Christmasoompa's thread re changes to the List.
We're weighing up pros/cons of either:
1. Applying under FSW1 at the end of April (earliest we can apply = 1 year employment); OR
2. Trying to get a nomination under CI stream - we don't visit until mid July this year.
Q1 - We are trying to weigh up the speed of getting PR, bearing in mind the time it will take to gather docs for FSW1 against how long it will take to get the Nomination (we would only be able to make one visit, which restricts which RDA is likely to help us - and we can't do that until July, whereas we can get the FSW1 actually in process in April). Thoughts?
Q2 - IF we do FSW1 in April, and then get a Nomination in July (actually, I have idea how long it takes to get the Nomination from when you apply) - can we switch streams?
Q3 - If we switch streams, does that mean we then have to pay again as a new application (currently working out at about £900 for five of us).
Currently thinking belt and braces, although if the List changes before late April, we can only do CI anyway.
(We have looked at other options - not entirely dismissed them, but these two are the best for us, given our personal circumstances.)
Thanks in advance for your thoughts/opinions.

Q3 - If we switch streams, does that mean we then have to pay again as a new application (currently working out at about £900 for five of us).NO. YOU WITHDRAW ONE APPLICATION, THE FUNDS WILL BE REIMBURSED - THOUGH THEY DO TAKE AGES - AND REMEMBER THEY WILL ONLY BE REIMBURSED AS LONG AS THEY HAVE NOT STARTED WORKING ON YOUR FILE.

Re: Opinions - FSW1 versus NSNP CI stream
Thanks Amy
So... might be just as quick to go FSW1. ie we probably would not get the nomination until, say mid-October? By which time, we would (hopefully) be well along the way and if fees are not refunded at this point, would be no reason to switch streams?
And of course this is presuming we will get a nomination in the first place. We do not know at this stage if we would get that easily - it is possible they would put strict conditions on how many times we must visit, which would hold it up further as we maybe could only visit once a year at best!
