One for the experts please.
On the good side, my wife, daughter and I landed as PR's on the 7th of August this year, at Vancouver Airport.
We gave an address of a relative for the PR cards to be forwarded to.
They have not arrived as yet.
We returned to the UK, with the intention of moving fulltime to Canada, next year, once we have sold our house in the UK.
The enquiry numbers to chase the cards up, are toll free from within Canada, but everytime we call them, we get cut off, because they don't take international calls.
Eventually I get through to an Immigration Office in Surrey, B.C. and they check and find we have no address on the computer for our PR cards to go to. They then update the computer, but still no cards have arrived.
Questions;
How do we chase the cards up, from outside Canada?
Do we have to do anything else to maintain our PR status other than spend 728 days in every five years in Canada. i.e. must we return to Canada periodically, or can we just wait until our house is sold in the UK.?
Can we wait to register for our SIN until we move fulltime to Canada?
Once our 5 year period is up, how do we apply to continue with our PR status?
Thanks for your help

2. you can wait until your house is sold; just remember the time required though to mantain the PR.
3. You can apply for the SIN cards anytime you want to!
4. You dont have to apply for PR; it continues! On the contrary, you can apply for Canadian citizenship after you have stayed 3 years out of 5 in Canada.
