We got our PR visa's today - issued 15 Dec in London and posted on 17 Dec.
Local immigration office told us there's a 2 month wait to "land" in Halifax and we'd be better off going to an inland border so we're off to NB tomorrow or Thursday to land
What are you supposed to do if there is a 2 month wait to Land in Halifax ?

Congratulations on PR good luck

Apparently there's a new rule that says if you're in Canada already under TWP you can "land" at your nearest immigration office without having to leave the country. So when I rang to book an appointment today the immigration officer said he couldn't give us an appointment to "land" in Halifax until March 09, and we'd be better off driving to NB/Maine, walk halfway across the bridge, come back and "land" there. (We already did this to get the TWP back in March so at least we know the way)

So I guess that's what we'll be doing.

Thanks for the congratulations

Good luck to the rest of you waiting for news from CHC.
Hope you're settling in well and not too knackered after starting work so soon. Who did you get your 90day medical insurance with?

Hi

PR processing does seems very quick through London at the moment if you are on PNP. I am on NS PNP and are now waiting for passports to be returned after submitting PR application at the end of October

PNP is the way to go
