i hope this is right forum...

I just landed a few days ago and want to apply for OHIP but I have a few questions. I know usually you have to be resident in Ontario 3 months before you get coverage but my question is, I was on a student visa for over a year in Canada while my pr was being processed, and when I landed I just went to the nearest border and landed without even leaving Canada, considering I was resident for over a year does anyone know if I won’t have to wait 3 months before I get coverage?

You can apply for OHIP any time but coverage will only be effective beginning three months after the date on your COPR (or date of landing...not sure which).
