I suggest to all who think they are in Catch 22 with their credentials to start thinking out of the box.

Pharmacists for example may find work as industrial pharmacists, researchers, etc. in the pharmaceutical industry without need for using the title Pharmacist (which requires going through all the troubles). Some other health and other professionals who are between rock and a hard place just because they thinking is too narrow should look into same direction - industry or research - and many of them will find jobs without problems.

CHINA. but obviously INDIA has become the no.1 immigrant source for Canada now.however, there are over 60000 international students in Canada who are from china. so when the new Canadian experience class kicks in, a lots of them will become landed immigrants in near future. We all here to make Canada a better country.

Andrew,
This is a very good point you raise and as we both have a great deal of experience in the pharamceutical industry we had looked into finding jobs in this arena..And as you so rightly state about industrial pharmacists, that is the role my wife was doing as a QP (Qualified Person).
Unfortunately, there is a huge cut back globally as the pharmaceutical companies are trying to become increasingly competitive.
So..we did actually look into this route, albeit about a year ago, and the standard response was that ,yes, we could get jobs if we lived in Canada, but they could not offer us jobs or anything like that unless we were living in and able to work in Canada, if that makes sense.
Although this is another avenue that we will be researching further. We have also looked into whether the requirements for all Canadian provinces are the same regarding Pharmacists and they pretty much are although Ontario seems to be very specific about the additional courses and study and not just the exams..
But thank you Andrew, that is a good point and we will keep researching.
We're not giving up
