My mother was born in Vancouver 1903. I am currently trying to obtain Canadaian

will be successful with a view to my son working in the computer industry and my
daughter inthe media/journalism field. Any advice re application and a possibily

If you were born in South Africa before the enactment of Canada's first citizenship
law in 1947, I would assume you probably do =NOT= have any basis at all for claiming
Canadian citizenship.
Before giving up, though, you might wish to discuss your status with officials at the
Canadian High Commission (embassy) in Pretoria.
