How long after the medical does it take to get PR on average? Anyone done things this way? Thanks

Hi..

its been eleven weeks and counting for me, they say it takes two - three months....But some people seem to get theres quicker.

Nomination was recieved from NS in December 09, Our application reached London in January 2010, Medicals were completed last week after 2 furtherances.

Its looks like there just taking there time with every body.

Your a month ahead of us on nomination, and putting your application in so you should get PPR soon, why do they do this to people, you can't plan nothing.....

We had our medicals done in Nova Scotia, but we are back in the UK now and waiting for PR. We have a house in Nova Scotia, and all of our stuff is out there, we shipped it out as Seasonal Residents.

I also have a house over here i'm in it now doing some renovations before we move here permanently, we've sold nearly everything we own in the UK, it was all old anyway, before people think were nutters lol....i'm heading back to the uk on the 29th of this month, so i hope we've had our PPR by then, what part you moving too? where in bridgewater, south shore....

I know New Germany well, nice gas station ( not self service ) Critter burgers too LOL!
We have been In Nova Scotia for the past Year but run out of Visa at the moment!

The garage is now self service, the critter burger is now called Charlie's its doubled in size now..... looks good.... my house is on the new germany lake just next to the boat launch....what visa did you have.....we couldn't get one, we wanted to come over early so my daughter could start school....but wouldn't give us one....

we received PPR 3 weeks after meds, but this was a while back, hope you hear soon!

We came out last May, They let us in with just a stamp in our Passport. We returned to the UK in Oct. for one week, but they didn't want to let us back in to Canada, eventually they gave us a 6 month Visitors permit at the Airport, it ran out in April, so now we have to wait for PR or until October ( when we can come back for another 6 months ), which ever is the sooner!

New Germany actually made the front page of the The Chronically Horrid (aka The Chronicle Herald) today. There was a shooting yesterday afternoon outside Barry's Freshmart. Apparently some estranged husband shot his wife then tried to shoot himself. Very unfortunate.

Yes... its a very sad time she was a very nice person, she delivered the post to us here, so the town is in mourning, even though its Canada day....very sad....
