Hi, I am an IT man with BSc in Computer Science and MSc Engineering Computation. 1
year experience in Telecommunications in Ireland. I am thinkiong about immigrating.
Could anyone advise me on my first steps. Do I need to have a job before applying for
visa as an independent immigrant? Thanks for your help.

Sasha: Start bt checking out www.cic.gc.ca which is Canada Immigrtaions website. Look
under Applications and look up the requirments for London. From the info you have
provided you should have a good application with your qualifications and experience.

Hi:
You may want to first consider applying under the Independent Immigrant (Skilled
Worker) program. Applicants under this category must obtain a total of 70 points or
more, on the basis of age, education, work experience, occupation,
education/training, etc. in order to qualify for Canadian permanent residency.
