Nova Scotia Medical Service Insurance (MSI)
Hello, I'm sure you might know this but as I couldn't find the information on here I thought I would pass on my wisdom. As you are aware certain provinces will not allow you access to free medical provision within the first 90 days of your arrival. Nova Scotia is not one of them. As a new resident, you can apply for (MSI) the moment you land (well, not at the airport but you know what I mean) but only if you intend to stay in Nova Scotia for the next 90 days. If you are planning a return trip within the following two weeks or so, then you cannot apply for your medical card at that time, rather, wait until you permanently move to the province.
