Default Non accompanying children now want to come.

Hi, I have 3 kids who were on my application for PR as non accompanying. They are not especially well looked after by their mum in UK and want to be with me. What can I do to bring them to Canada, I'm pretty sure she will give me custody. I would like to know the quickest way possible. They are 8,12 and 13 years old. Oh, I have my PR.
Cheers.
Chris.

Did they undergo medicals when you applied?
If they didn't you may have issues.

Then you just need to sponsor them for PR.

Sponsor your spouse, partner or children

Use these forms for an 'outland' application, normally takes around 7 months (as opposed to 20 odd for an 'inland' application).

Application to Sponsor a Member of the Family Class

Is there a way to bring them there on temp visas and and apply within Canada? Social services are involved and I'm worried about the next few months...

Who has custody of the children and are there any court orders? Will the mother allow permission for them to move. It might not be just a simple answer.

If you have everyones agreement and documentation attesting to the mother/court/social or whoever agreeing to them moving to Canada then they could come as visitors initially and you could apply for PR for them as soon as you got the agreement (before they actually came over).

Get it all in writing. I.e. mother's, social workers', etc, agreement that you will assume primary custody of the children, AND that they all agree to the children moving to Canada.

If social workers are involved, the above *may* require going through court.

If you haven't already done so, start documenting every communication regarding the children.

Otherwise, yes, bring them in as visitors, & follow links and advice upthread for PR.

Best of luck to all of you

S
