Wow, I see the list now has figures, and 3152 (my occupation) is the 2nd most popular I'm hoping that this is taking into account any back log from last year?

There is no backlog from last year - this is from applications received AFTER 1st July 2011. Anything received BEFORE this date and not assigned a spot in the list (due to list becoming full) would have been returned.

Phew, still may have a chance then. I need to get all the PR paperwork completed etc and required tests, so I'm hoping this figure won't grow too much in 2 months.

Well certainly I would get it together as quickly as possible.

Please remember, the above totals represent only those applications which have been opened and passed the completeness check. The actual total received could be much higher.

We will get a better idea after the next set of figures I guess.

Last year 3152 took about 5 to 6 months to completely fill, but the cap was 1000 then, and it's now 500, and also the first few months were very quiet last year as it was a new system and people had to get supporting documents with their initial application for the first time.

If I were to make a wager now I would say that 3152 will be full within about 2 months, so I would get your skates on!
