Default No PR Card - 29 days??

Hi all,

I landed into Canada through the peace bridge (Buffalo-Toronto) on
October 28. I came back to US 2 days later. I am leaving for Pakistan
on December 18 to finalize the business and then move to Canada. It
may take 2-4 months.

I have not received my PR Card yet at the address I had given upon
landing. I had told the immigration officer that I need to wrap up
things so will go back to US in few days and then will go to Pakistan
afterwards.

Now, I can not call the 800 number from US for PR Card. Neither, I
believe, I can re-enter Canada (so that I could pursue the card) as I
don't have that same card that will allow me to land.

What do you suggest I should do? The address I gave upon landing was
of downtown Toronto, if that matters.

I will appreciate any help.

PS: Upon issuance of visa, consulate in Detroit gave me two months to
land. I was a student at that time. While a good deal of my assets are
in shape of property in my birth country. So, that takes time to
settle down.

The card should arrive at the address you gave any day now. You have left
things a little tight though. It could be forwarded to you by some secure
way and you could then use it to return when you have completed your
preparations.

Hi Afzar,
Even if youloose PR Card, not a problem. Just go to your home country & finish your business & relax. Once you are done with that, go to nearest CANADIAN Embassy & give all details of your PR card details(Where you lost Etc.,....) and also your file No and COPR landing paper. You will be asked to apply for a TEMP VISA and you can safely land in CANADA! and reply for a PR card by paying C$10.00 at a HRDC location within your canada adddress jurisdiction.
