Newbie- timeline info please
Hi guys
New to the forum but I'm looking for a little info please. I'm planning to move to Ottawa on a spousal visa and just yesterday sent off my completed medical and police certificate after being requested for them by cic. Does anyone care to share their timeline experience from this point.

You say you sent your medical off yesterday but then say CIC requested it? Medicals are done before you apply for spousal sponsorship, so exactly which stage are you at? Sorry but it's a bit confusing from what you've said to tell if you've applied yet or not.
There is loads of info in the immi forum about spousal sponsorship, as well as in the Wiku, so have a look at that.

Our application was submitted in February this year, sponsorship was accepted in march, our immigration lawyer told us to hold off from getting the medical or applying for a police certificate until London requested them as they can expire. We received the request for my completed medical and police certificate on may 28th , medical was completed on June 5th, received my police check on 19th June and forwarded both to London yesterday. The visa is common-law as we are a gay couple
