My wife has a Nursery Nurse Examination Board (NNEB) Diploma from Dunstable College (1986). She has been in childcare for about 25 years and also upgraded her qualifications to APEL which she had to do when the UK changed the qualification standards. In addition she's got the usual First Aid, Baby Massage, Birth to Three etc.

She'll know more than me but essentially if your wife has level two or higher it will be in demand. At the moment childcare facilities are staffing with people with little or no qualifications and with the economic boom and more mums going back to work they are desperate.

Feel free to send me a private message (pm) if you need more info.
