We are at 12 weeks and 1 day now. They are working on applications in our time frame but our application has not been processed yet. They advised to phone again next week. Hope it is not too much longer now...

Almost 13 weeks now, it is such a long wait I cannot believe it
M4mm4l, did they phone your employer when the LMO was approved or did they send a letter??

Hello,
The LMO arrived at my employers location by fax then by post a few days later. I'm not sure if my employer specified a fax response or if it is part of the process.

Hopefully the wait will be over for both of us very soon. For me this is the most difficult part as after so much time it feels like the waiting is never going to end...

I started a new thread because when I checked some other threads they were closed and I could not add any current lmo timelines.
LMO applied for : 9th September 2011
File number recieved: 27th September 2011
The job positon comes under noc B (skilled worker)
I am currently waiting on LMO decision not for myself but for my father....I remember this stage and like all the stages it is a long frustrating wait to know wether your life is going to change or not.
Good luck to others waiting and please post any current information.
Thanks

Hi adel, I'm a little bit confused... because I don't know what a federal work visa is. Are you applying for a Labour Market Opinion (LMO) - which leads to a Temporary Work Permit? Or are you currently going through one of the permanent residence routes?
Also, what province are you in? AFAIK each province has its separate queue...
Good luck, hope it comes through real quick for you

I just received a positive LMO - it took exactly 11 weeks and 5 days.
They gave me a year - so i'm hoping this should be long enough for me to get my PR processed - that application has been in for exactly a year now.
Good luck to everyone else who is still waiting.

Congrats 1ROBB !
Where did you post your PR application from/to?
I've just put mine in this week and was quoted 3 months processing in nova scotia and then 6-12 months processing in London, Ontario. so total from within Canada should be 9-15 months.

My PR application (FSW 2) is at the Buffalo VISA office. I submitted the application to Nova Scotia in December 2010 and I received the preliminary eligibility review in early March this year. I'm hoping that my file will start moving by around spring 2012.
