Default New processing timescale is out now

This is probably not a good news for those who are mad, nervous, or under sleeping pills because of the waits.

Almost all visa offices need more time now to process the applications. Only several visa posts in latin america and Sydney, Australia , need less processing time compared to previous time scale.

Please follow below link to see the "new" past processing time.

It is actually going to get worse for some places.
Now with the new rules of applying in home country barring some cases
it will create bottlenecks is embassies of eastern europe and asia.

It is just amatter of time they will clean the backlog by raising the pass mark

Canada, informally, has a Quota system in place to issue PR Visas. They term it as Immigration Targets / Plan.

Each immigrant category is assigned a number of visas to be issued in the current year.

Visas are issued quickly in the first part of the year as the embassies know they can issue more visas and they have all year left. Things get slower near the end of the year as they know they cannot go over the specified number of visas to be issues.

The processing speed will pick up again in January.
