New PR application?
Hello,
I am back for advice after deciding to give Canada a go -if I can sort out visa first......
We were going to start our PR application journey but have been confused at the first hurdle!
Am I right in saying we can't apply until next year due to the new applications being frozen?
If so is there anything we can do in the mean time?
Husband is a plumber / gas fitter.
Thanks
V

Have you tried looking at the various PNP routes?

Where in Canada? as all PNP routes can differ.

Thanks,
we presumed that PNP meant he had to get a job offer, not sure if that is possible as he has to get licenses etc when he arrives as he is a plumber gas fitter.
Will look into it, we are not too fussy where we are going as research has shown we will need to go where the work is, probably Alberta or BC.
We have decided to make it a 2 year adventure and if we settle, we can stay, if not, come back. So we did not plan to do a recce as 5 people to get over is expensive but did think about hubby and eldest son going over so that might be the best plan to try and get a job offer.
Thanks

Hello,
I am not an expert and I am sure some one will come along who is but I think you pretty much have to have a job first before you can get any kind of visa. The process can take anywhere from two to 5 years. We have just done the BC PNP route and it has taken almost 2 years and we were already here working on a Bunac visa.
Good luck
