Default Need Some Expert Advise !

Dear Experts,

I had applied for Canadian PR last year and received the same. Landed,
got my PR Card, SIN Card, etc a few months ago. Due to my education /
school, I had come back to US, and have completed the same now and
ready to move to my home (Canada).

I am planning to move to Canada permanently and have some questions :

a. When I landed, I had provided an Annexure with the goods to follow.
This included my personal belongings / furniture / electronic items &
my car. I have a stamped receipt of the copy of the goods to follow.

Now since I plan to land, do I just load the goods on a U-Haul and
move it across into Canada from the US. Do I have to drive the U-Haul
or can a relocation company take care of it for me. I have this job
offer where the company will be paying for relocation, so I was
wondering if I can have the relocators move the stuff. Do I have to be
present at the border or can I provide the truck driver the copy of
the stamped goods to follow list.

If I have to drive across the border, can any of my family members
(sister) or friends accompany me to help me with the move. They have
Visitors visa for Canada.

b. Ideally, I will be flying to Toronto or Detroit. Since I will be
living in Windsor and working in Detroit. Any issues that I have to
consider.

c. My Car - It has a US plate. What will I need to do before I ship my
car. I have heard about getting DRL. The car is fully paid for and has
no lien. I have the title papers.

d. I will be driving my car from Windsor to Detroit everyday for work.
Suggestions ?

Anything else that I need to do to ensure that the move is smooth.

Thanks for all your valuable advise. Appreciate it much. Just want to
do my homework beforehand.

Raj
