Default My Timeline and please help....

Here is my timeline:

Applied: June, 2001
Interview Waived: May, 2002
Medicals Received: June, 2002
Wife pregnant so could not take medicals.
Added Son: March 2003
Medicals for all of us Recd: July, 2003

Got cuaght up in job move, and relocation did not do medicals. Now
Buffalo sent letter respond in 60 days when will you do medical and
have to reply in 25 days more.

I am in some other state, and wanted to ask if we write to Buffalo
that cannot do now, need 3-4 months, as I cnanot move to Canada before
December 2004, will they agree. I will not tell I cannot move now, but
as my contract involves lumpsum payment around Nov 2004, I do not want
to miss that...

Any advises

Sam

You don't need to move permanently to Canada now - you may get your PR
visas, land before they expire and get back to US for whatever reason. If
you are planning to move here permanently in December 2004 then it will be
all fine as all you need to maintain your PR status is to reside in Canada
for 730 days (2 years) in every 5 years period. So, let's say you do
medicals now and your PR visas will be valid for 12 months from medicals -
you may land sometimes next summer, have nice week or two vacation in Canada
and then return to US until December. What is the problem?

Unless there is something else you are not telling us - if this is the case
then how can anyone help you?

Andrew

Nope that is my case. Just I have time to stay in the US, so I have
been taking it easy till now.

I guess I will go in for my medicals this weekend and be over with
all, and get my landing papers. The new rule does sound good where we
can stay 2 years in 5 years to keep it valid.

I was just skeptical that I am settled here, and with the low in the
economy will mvoe and start all over again, but I guess if I want to
move, then I have to do it.

So So many people have told me that the quality of life there is much
better than the US, maybe once I go there, I will know better
