Default my sponsor for spouse visa has no money or job, please help

Hi, I wanted to investigate our situation further, my sponsor (my wife) has
been living with me in England on a UK spouse visa, she has been supported
by me, we have a one year old daughter which is the reason she has no job,
and no savings, we are married.

Now our plan is to move to Canada, as my wife has bad anxiety living in
england, she has been prescribed some medication while visiting home in
canada as she finds it hard being in England away from family and friends.

I've come around to leaving my life in England as I realise the importance
of staying together and being a family, but when my wife Tanya sponsors me,
the officer will note that she has no job or money, and I have supported her
she has no real financial ground to support me. Will they take it into
consideration that she is a mum and understand that I have been supporting
her, which is quite twisted as the sponsor should be the providor and show
they have funds etc, at least that's how it seems.

I have a job waiting for me in Canada, i'll send proof of this with our
application (my employer in england says I can work for them from canada) I
also have some savings, not much (£4000ish) and my wife (my sponsors)
parents have said they'd be happy to put us up whenever we need (3 empty
rooms) again i'll get this in writing, I plan on living with them for about
a month after landing in canada i'll need this month to find a place and set
things up ready for work.

Anyway I wanted to know about my wife being a sponsor in her situation,
being a mother and all, should I worry my ass off? will the officer add
points to our application as I have a job offer and money etc, I did here
that they're more lenient with spouse visas especially when you're married
and there are children involved.

If anyone can help with with their opinions or advice i'd appreciate it, as
a note, my wife did work before and during her pregnancy in england, and has
a degree in early childhood education, we both check our perfectly (legally, and health wise (fairly sure), wife and daughter both have a canadian birth cerfitcate, we have many items from our home and a car in england to sell which will also help with money.

Thanks,
Mark.

THere is no real financial test for sponsors or spouses so long as the officer believes that the family will not become public charges. Check out the CIC website at www.cic.gc.ca

i've had a look through various pages on that site, and it does say that the sponsor will be evaluated on financial status etc, hopefully they will take me as the money earner into consideration then, if they do then we should be ok.

thanks, if anyone else can elaborate on this would be great.

thanks for the help

There is no financial test but they do require financial information and in your circumstances that would mean some explanation of how you will support yourself. As I said, your spouse does not need to show a minimum income or any income so long as the visa officer is satisfied that the family will not become public charges or require social assistance payments.
