I have completed my medical for 11 months. But I am still waiting for visa. I sent an enquiry letter to canadian embassy last week. The canadian embassy replied to me that my case is still in process for background check results. I would like to enquire of you about my immigration application progress. Do you think how long it will take, and will they issue my visa once finishing my background checks(if is positive result)? Thanks a lot.

Nobody knows how long it will take, not even officer who is processing your
case. Background/security check is conducted by Canadian security and
intelligence agencies, independently from CIC - visa post will only know the
result when it is done. You will most likely be required to take new medicals
after background/security results are in, so it will then add several more
months to the process.
