Default Mr. Miller - Medical question, yet again

Hi Mr. Miller, just wanted to bring the following questions forward once again. Thanks.

Kismit

Thank you so much for your response, Mr. Miller. I will fax the form that they've sent me as well as a copy of the receipt I got from my DMP that validates that we've indeed done our medicals.

On a separate note, doesn't the visa officer in Buffalo ask Ottawa prior to asking the applicant about whether the medicals are done or not?

Moreover, since the officer has sent me a reminder about the medicals, does it mean that the passport request is the next thing likely to happen, after s/he receives the medical reports? I've already paid RPRF.

Thanks.

Kismit

It is clear indication that processing officer stays on top of your case and sent reminder because s/he didn't see medical decision yet. Just fax the info requested.

Dear Mr. Miller, my wife and I did our medicals on June 26, 2003 (6 months after the AOR/Interview waiver). However, I got a letter from Buffalo dated Aug 26, 2003 asking me to inform them about whether I've done medicals or not and if I have done it the name/date and info of the DMP. I need to send them the info within the next 60 days or they'll cancel my application. While I'll send the requested info today only, I want to know whether it is normal to get such a letter from Buffalo and in what way the DMP can help me sort this out. This is a totally unwanted pain caused simply by the DMP which has hurt my immigration timeline and plans.

Thanks for your advice.

Kismit

Officer doesn't ask Ottawa - she or he checks in CAIPS file and if there is
no medical decision entered then reminder/request is being mailed to
applicant.

Nothing is sure in the immigration application process and you can't draw
any conclusions from the fact that you received reminder about your
medicals.

Thanks for your reply, Mr. Miller.

If the DMP screws up in sending the results and Ottawa doesn't receive them at all, what happens next?

1) Does the DMP have another copy of the tests by any chance or we have to redo it?

2) What does the CIC do? I mean, does it give the benefit to the applicant (and NOT cancel his/her application) since it's the DMP who screwed up? (I have a receipt from the DMP that proves that my wife and I did the medicals two months ago.)

3) Is there a way the DMP pays for his/her mistake? His/her mistake could cost an applicant not only $700 for the tests but also valuable time (lost in this mess up).

Thank you again.

1. Usually medicals have to be repeated in such situation

2. Processing officer in such case will allow extra time for new medicals.

3. It has nothing to do with CIC - it is between applicant and DMP.

But why such pessimistic approach? You've got letter from Buffalo dated only
2 months after your medicals - average time in Ottawa for evaluation of
medicals is about 3 months. Remember that DMP mailed results about 2 weeks
after medicals were done as he had to wait for x-rays and blood test
results, then add to it time for mail (to Canada at least a week). So, in my
opinion nothing to worry about yet.
