I have 2 years experience as a computer technician and 2 years as a software
engineer. What experience do I have for an immigration application - accumulated 4
years in both occupations or only 2 in either one or another?

Thank you.

It depends under what law. If under the old law and you are applying as a software
engineer then you have only 2 years. As the new law is concerned then if duties
performed as a computer technician and software engineer match most of main duties
(and all essential duties) of the respective description in one or more occupations
listed in top 3 bands of NOC then you have 4 years of work experience. Without
analyzing in details your work experience and comparing it to NOC descriptions I
can't confirm it for sure though.
