Dear Mr. Miller, Along with the AOR they provide some time they need to consider
ones case (now it is 30 weeks or something). Is it well-defined STRICT time WITHIN
which they will DEFINITELY consider ones case and will send either a waiver or an
interview date.

Otherwise it's just absurd to send something, just an assumption as an applicant can
perfectly assume on his own...

What can you tell from your experience? Have they ever gone beyond the assessment
time provided in the AOR letter?

Thank you in advance, Vadim Panaev.

There is nothing like a "strict" time within which anything in respect to
immigration application can be definitely concluded. The information provided in
AOR letter is just the assumption based on the current workload and past experience
of the visa post - such information is provided to you as a courtesy, not as a
promise or guarantee of anything. Also, most visa posts have a policy not to
respond to any status inquiries before time indicated in AOR letter lapses, so it
is another reason for indicating such time frame in AOR letter. Applicant cannot
assume anything on his own without knowing all inside information about the current
workload and past performance of particular visa post. The time indicated in the
AOR letter is just the average - and as it is with any average the real times are
both, shorter and longer. Also bear in mind that each application is unique, there
are no 2 absolutely identical cases and processing time in each stage is also
unique for each individual case.
