Mr Humphries, Mr. Andrew, Mr. Cohen and Experts need advice.
Good day Jim Humphries, Andrew Miller, Mr. Cohen and Experts,
I have been here in the Philippines, since i was a infant together with my family under foreign investor visa. I grew up in the philippines, have my education and receive status for PR in the philippines dated 1996. Though I still retain my birth of origin which is HK, and my passport indicate that my nationality is British National (Overseas). Would it affect my immigration application if I sent the Canadian Embassy of Manila, a copy of my permanent residence in the Philippines, for the reason that they might not process my application because I'm not a citizen of the Philippines and is out of their jurisdiction if proof of residence is not provided. Fearing that I might only add to the presently backlog of application the Canadian Embassy Manila is experiencing due to the closure last Nov. 28, 2001. My application together with my friend were received on Dec. 20, 2001 by the Canadian Embassy Manila. Then we received our AOR on Jan. 21, 2001 and Jan. 17, 2001 respectively. Although my friend had already received a second letter from them dated May 16, 2001 indicating that a interview is required.Currently, I'm still waiting for selection decision from the Canadian Embassy Manila. Moreover, My passport is exipring this coming March, 2004 and I'm really concerned that I might not have my visa completed by then, adding the fact that the Canadian Embassy in Manila has a backlog of application. Would it be wise to submit a copy of a renewed passport to accompany the expiring passport and what type of envelop must I used and information written outside envelop. Appreciate the advice to be provided by Mr Humphries, Mr. Andrew, Mr. Cohen and Experts. Thanks Alvin |
