I am a Quebec applicant (Skilled worker category) who started my application in January 2001 from Damascus and then transferred my file to Buffalo in 2003 upon my move to US. I did medical tests in Sep 2004 and am still waiting for visa. A couple of months ago, Buffalo asked me for Quebec CSQ renewal ( It was issued in 2002 valid for 3 years). So I asked Quebec Consulate in Damascus for renewal and will forward it to Buffalo when I receive it. Two questions:
1. Since it is already one year past my medical test, Will I be subject to another medical tests again before they issue my visa?
(A friend of mine with a similar situation, i.e. Quebec applicant who moved to USA, received his visa from buffalo 14 months after he had done his medical tests)
2. My application started in 2001, i.e. almost 5 years ago! Should there be more hope that I receive some good news in 2006 !?

1. If it would be just few months past expiration of medicals then it would be possible that validity could be extended. But if it is longer or if there are other circumstances then it is unlikely.
2. There is always a hope.
