Default Mr. Andrew Miller & Other Experts...........I Need Your Help !!!

Dear All:

I'll be really grateful if you could help me out by answering the following questions

Here's my timeline:

Documents Submitted: 27th Mar. '01 (CHC Islamabad )
AOR : 19th Apr. '01
Request for additional Documents: 22nd May '01
Additional Documents Submitted: 28th May '01

Questions:

I have 2 yrs of part time work experience and and 3 years of full time work experience. Based on this, can I assign myself 21 points for work experience because in my opinion, 2 yrs of part time experience is considered to be equivalent to 1 year of full time work experience. Please correct me if I am wrong.

I would also like to add that when I had submitted my application
in March 2001, at that time I had 2 yrs of part time work
experience and 1 year of full time work experience but now it's been over 2 yrs since I had submitted my application. My question is do I need to inform CHC about my additional work experience so that they can assign me points for 'work experience' accordingly.

Secondly, I recently got engaged and my fiance has just completed her MBA.
My question is how many points will I get for my
fiance's qualification and should I inform CHC about it. I mean, although I am not married yet but can I still submit my fiance's educational documents so that I can get points accordingly. In this regard, do I have to send CHC an application alongwith photocopies of relevent documents or is there any customized form available.

My third question is that suppose If a take up a 3 month basic french course from a french cultural institute, lets say Alliance Francaise, will it help me in getting some extra points.

And lastly I want to know that how many points should I assign myself for education. I have completed my MBA and besides that I have an OCP certification in DBA track. In all I have 16 yrs of full time education including my MBA.

Mr.Miller, I'll be waiting for your reply.

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Furqan

It is not that 2 years of part time count as 1 year of full time. You must
convert your part time work to full time equivalent by using 37.5 hours per
week as full time. So, if your part time was 20 hours per week then yes, it
will count as half of full time week. But if your part time was only 10
hours per week then it will count only as about 1/4 of full time week.

If you want to have your additional work experience counted then you must
not only notify visa post but more importantly you must provide conclusive
evidence proving the fact.

You won't get any points for fiancee's education as you simply cannot
include fiancee as your dependant. Fiancees don't count as dependants - only
spouses and common-law spouses do and only if they are accompanying you to
Canada (are included in your application).

You may forget about it. To get points for basic proficiency in French
(maximum 2 points) you need to pass TEF test on level 3. Full year course
can at best bring you to level 1. Fact of taking a course is irrelevant -
you need TEF test results.

22 points.
