moving to british columbia ??

Dear All,

Me & my wife are moving to BC Mid October.

I’m working as a Sales Team Leader with Staples UK Ltd & getting
around £ 20 k annually + incentives.

Can someone advise me what is the wage / salary structure there in
Vancouver / Surrey or White rock area ?

‘ll I have to start from scratch ?

Is it easy to find jobs in Surrey / Whiterock area ?

What sort of avg income per month a married couple need to survive comfortably.

My wife is into nursing & has got a job in White rock.

But i’m not sure about myself.

‘ll appreciate any feedbacks.

Best Regards,

Veer

Depends what you are going to do, who you work for and what your needs are. Many of us have worked up from modest beginnings and gone without to achieve some level of success in Canada. Retail sales clerk between $8.50 to $12 an hour, a supervisor perhaps up to $18 an hour and management from $40,000 p.a. and up.

Can you manage on that? Doubtful, you'd likely need two incomes, so long as your wife is nursing probably be OK. A lot also depends on if you arep aying a mortgage or rent.
