Moving Back
Hi we emigrated to NS in 2006 but due to my dad back in the UK getting cancer we moved back in 2011. We emigrated with 1 child and has 3 more out there. As it was a fast move back we never got around to getting citizenship for ourselves or our eldest child. Our youngest three are dual nationals having been born in Canada to British parents.
Once we moved back we needed to provided stability to the children but we always wanted to move back one day. My parents are now old and i hate to say it but once they pass we wish to move back to NS. Has anyone ever done this? I am assuming we would have to re pass the points system and medical again. Let alone get new SIN, driving licences and PR cards again.

What is it you do for a living - the system has changed a lot in the last 14 years - it's mostly 'Express Entry" and needing a high points factor from the CRS calculator in order to get an invite from the pool. Having already lived in NS, you might be able to get a few extra points if you were to apply under NS PNP, worth taking a look at also.
If you can give a little background, we'll be happy to help you

Re: Moving Back
Hi oh that’s a shame. You do the right thing and get kicked in the guts for doing it. I think we may have to give up on our dream of moving back with the children.
We would not gain points for age in a few years. I have a Degree and work in the care industry and hubby used to be an airline pilot but now is Regional Trainer for a Fund Raising Charity. The eldest would stay in uk as would be in the military when we were looking at coming back and the 3 Canadian kids of ours would be too young to sponsor us in or give us points I guess. Hubby does have a Canadian Uncle who lives in Quebec - we got points for him last time. We would have about £500,000 to convert over. Our Nova Scotian friends will be sad. I’m not sure why it changed my username to my first choice one! Rather than the Bear River one. It said I could not use Sengdroma
