After landing in Canada, I will still have around $15000 to $20000 left abroad which
I plan to bring in later. My question is, will transferring the money to Canada after
landing make it "income" and thus subject to taxation? Is there any benefit, or is it
necessary, to declare money in the "goods to follow" list or otherwise?

No as long as your can document its existence prior to landing it would not be deemed

By "document its existence," did you mean to keep the document by himself or to file
it to an authority in Canada or a CHC before/when landing?
