Question money to canada on a work permit

We are going to Canada initially on a 3 year work permit, which we will use to bump up our points to apply for PR when we're there. Our query is:-

Are there any tax implications on taking our UK earned (and taxed) money with us? We won't want to transfer proceeds from our house to purchase another in CA if there is a potential tax liability we are unaware of. If it comes to that we'll rent till we get PR!!

My husbands work permit is with a Canadian employer, as opposed to a branch of a UK firm.

Thought we'd best check this one out before we land ourselves in it!!

Hi

Short answer is no. Just ensure you declare any more than $10,000 on your person when you arrive.
