Migration to Canada

Hi All

I am exploring the possibility to migrate to Canada. Can somebody tell me which category visa will be best suitable for technical people and the process to apply same. I heard something about express entry does it help and is it good time to move to Canada now

Thanks

Hi, welcome to BE.

Not sure what you mean by 'technical people', can you clarify?

Express Entry is the only way for most to apply for Permanent Residency if you don't have an easier way (such as sponsorship by a Canadian spouse). It covers the economic visa programs. So you need to see if you're eligible for that - https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration...nada-tool.html

If not, then you'll have to look at other options, such as finding a sponsoring employer & job offer.

But start with the eligibility test above, let us know what it says and give us more info about your occupation etc, then we can try and help.

Good luck.

Information that will help will be:
Your age
Your occupation
Your education
If you have any family in Canada

You should start a new thread, rather than piggybacking a new question into somebody else's.

You can buy a business as a foreigner. You're going to need to do more than that to move to another country, as a result of it, though.

Canada closed down its investment visa route in 2014 due to abuse. Quebec still has theirs if you want to live there and meet the criteria: Immigration, Diversité et Inclusion Québec - Investor Program.

There is also the 'start up visa' route https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration...tart-visa.html and 'self employed visa' route https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration...-employed.html

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcen...c.asp?st=6.3.5

I think both can take quite some time, but may be worth a look.

Go to this forum:

Immigration & Citizenship (Canada) - British Expats

Then click on the small 'New Thread' button about 1/3rd of the way down the page on the left hand side just below the 'Wiki Links' banner.
