Meds / Draft cashed...
Hi everyone,
We had our medical request through in Feb, everything was sent back to London early March and CIC cashed the draft for the RPRF at the end of March but we've not heard anything since then.
I have sent a case specific email but still nothing. I know they are extremely busy but does anyone know if they bank the cheque as a matter of course or do they only do that if everything is ok?
Many thanks
Donna

Hi
They always bank the cash. Medical results take about 4 weeks to get to the processing office, and until the background check is complete, only then will you get a PP request.

Hi PMM,
Thanks for this, do you know what is involved in the background check and roughly how long it takes?

Hi
It sort of like answering the question "how long is a piece of string". If you haven't lived abroad or shall we say in "terrorist" producing countries. Haven't belonged to any odd organizations, or have a military background, or your work is the usual mundane most people do, then it is usually around 3/4 months, but that is just a guestimate.
